Natalie McCool - 'A Sun Going Down'
Liverpudlian pop singer songwriter Natalie McCool is bringing a personal story about growth and the positives of the past year in the form of a smooth new pop song!
Natalie McCool is a powerful and energising artist that brings catchy compositions to the table and beautiful vocals interchanged by angelic harmonies. Natalie is like a rose, beautiful yet sharp and with a slight edge. ‘A Sun Going Down’ is her new single, taken from the forthcoming album. The single is bold, rich and vibrant and makes all of musical earth rumble. Her smooth pop sound is infectious and sounds effortless, with highs and lows that make for a thrilling new release.
McCool has been making waves and a name for herself ever since first releasing ‘Fortress’ in 2017. Since then she has grown in confidence and talent - even though it is hard to believe that was even possible. Besides her growth of the past few years, 2020 pushed her on a path that had to be discovered along the way, but having shared stages with Aurora and She Drew The Gun and having brought in a campaign for HBO series The Third Day, Natalie was bound for success no matter what.
With ‘A Sun Going Down’ she shares an open-hearted story of personal and professional growth, an inspiring story for us all. Natalie says about the single “This song is not about the obvious things that happened last year, more about my personal mindset and feelings, it’s about the dawning of intuition, a slow but staggering realisation that you don’t need a person, and the finality of walking forward without them - forever.”
Even though ‘A Sun Going Down’ - partly because of its strong title - is definitely one of my favourite McCool-releases, previous released single ‘Devils’ deserves a mention too. Interpreting the single as an empowering message of dancing with our inner demons, ‘Devils’ is a relatable and building pop song that turns a rather dark theme into something that is upbeat and uplifting. ‘A Sun Going Down’ is a worthy follow up of ‘Devils’ solo version and I am more than excited to see and hear how fast Natalie McCool is going to make it.
