Brooklyn-born Jazz-hop, R&B artist Justy gives important life advice on the bouncy new single ‘Rinse, Repeat, Regress’.

Set to a soulful backdrop of smooth beats and R&B infused rhythms, ‘Rinse, Repeat, Regress’ sees Justy talking about the importance of self-love and falling in love with one’s self while dealing with heartache. Warm vocals give a soothing touch to the track’s stream-of-consciousness lyricism that showcases both, Justy’s emotional maturity and her impressively honest take on songwriting.

"This past summer I had an awful breakup, like my ex currently dating the friend I introduced her to bad, and I felt so defeated, unlovable, worthless, and pointless,” she reveals about the inspiration behind the track. “Against my own wants I decided to pursue therapy because I knew I wasn’t hanging on to life by much. I was existing but I wasn’t living. My therapist reminded me that people’s actions are always a reflection of themselves. I realized the same applied to my life. Everything I had done in life was rooted in me not truly loving myself. I almost lost myself for someone else, but I wasn’t even willing to save myself for me. From that point on, I made a promise to fall for myself, to learn for myself, to heal myself, and to trust myself. I knew that if I could do that, I could find love again because I wouldn’t be searching for a filler, I would simply be living."

Following previous releases ‘Blues on the Crosley’, ‘Cool’ and ‘Expectations’, ‘Rinse, Repeat, Regress’ is another notable offering fuelling excitement for Justy’s upcoming debut album ‘Soul Food, the Precede’. With a knack for cool soundscapes and laid-back escapism, Justy is a certified indie R&B powerhouse. Combined with her impactful lyricism, all sails are set for 2021 to be a breakthrough year for this poignant young artist.
