Manchester based band Blanketman release their debut EP - ‘The National Trust’, which is as British and pleasant as the title…

Since the release of their single “Taking you with me” last year, and after a series of shows in local venues, they have released their first EP. They have also recently announced a potential tour hoping to take place in August 2021.

The National Trust was partly inspired by the lead singer Adam Hopper’s move back to comforting confines of the north of England after he finished his studies in Reading.

This EP screams indie pop, something that wouldn’t sound out of place on a tween drama.

If anything, their title track will tempt you to visit your local National Trust stately home when everything opens up again. Whilst Beach Body, a song that they released as a single, which will make you think of Blackpool, solely for the “lift off lift off” refrain. Blanketman have really made me realise how much I miss being outdoors doing outdoorsy stuff.

The band have encapsulated in this seven track EP that good things usually happen to those who “leave the south”.
