L’objectif – ‘Drive in Mind’

L’objectif have officially arrived with their “debut single proper”.

To announce their signing to Chess Club Records, Leeds quartet L’objectif have released their first official single ‘Drive in Mind’.

L’objectif have already released two singles previously (‘Another Day another Fear’ and ‘Annual Event’), but ‘Drive in Mind’ represents a turning point in the band. ‘Drive in Mind’ is tight and sounds like a band ready to take on the world with punchy guitars and indie melodies with a hint of Shame, particularly in the vocals.

By seeking “excitement in the intellectually stimulating” and “finding thrill in the confusion”, L’objectif are undoubtedly going to be writing some interesting tunes. And ‘Drive in Mind’ certainly does this. Written about the “idea of people coming to watch the contents of someone’s mind was interesting to me, the thoughts, anxieties and all the things you don’t want people to see exposed on a big screen,” ‘Drive in Mind’ is a song that represents the anxieties of the world today.

L’objectif are still only in their teens, so expect them to stick around for a while with thought-provoking and feet-stomping songs.
