Childcare – 'Karaoke Mantra'

Almost two years after the release of critically acclaimed debut album ‘Wabi-Sabi’, slink-rock four piece CHILDCARE return with groovy new single ‘Karaoke Mantra’.

Wrapped tightly into wonky synths and trippy rhythms, ‘Karaoke Mantra’ recounts a weird and wonderful night. “For [guitarist] Rich’s Birthday I bought us tickets to an all-night gong experience,” vocalist Ian Cares explains. “So, we packed our sleeping bags and cereal bars and headed to a church in west London, with the promise of ‘release old and stale energy’, ‘energize your life’ and ‘allow your soul to surround your body’”. With its dual vocals and fun-filled lyricism, ‘Karaoke Mantra’ stays true to its name, being a certified karaoke belter.

Returning with a bang, CHILDCARE dust off their trademark sound that effortlessly fuses solid indie pop with dreamy surrealism, making for a transcending listening experience. Who needs yoga when you can lose yourself in music?
