Bloxx - 'Everything I've Ever Learned'
Four piece Bloxx make a striking return with their new single ‘’Everything I’ve Ever Learned.’’
As they re-enter the scene after their last release of their debut album ‘Lie Out Loud’ in August last year, the single pushes their sound to new heights, as they’ve come back with a newfound maturity that allows them to reflect upon their last couple of years.
‘’The last two years for me have been very difficult, with health scares and anxiety hitting the roof,’’ says lead singer Fee Booth. ‘’This song was really important in my journey to stop trying to understand everything, and to just accept the cards you’re dealt and make it work for you. It taught me to keep holding on, even when your grip is loose.’’
Never boring, from the get-go the track is energetic and exciting, as it’s immediately driven through fast paced drums and bass. Their clever melodies are quick to charm listeners, adding another dimension to the track that keeps it compelling to hear, wondering where they’ll take the song as it progresses.
With everything coming together for the chorus, Booth cathartically sings out ‘Don’t forget life’s a mess. That’s everything I’ve ever learned,’’ as the band let people know they’re never alone in how they’re feeling, - something many need to hear after the craziness of the last year. Through their rich, warm guitars, there’s a comforting energy to the track, and its addictive in its lyricism; Guaranteed to be on repeat after one listen.
Making such a strong return, if their next releases are anything like this one, Bloxx anticipate a successful 2021.
