LARRY PINK THE HUMAN have made their mark on their latest single - ‘ELEVEN11_GTR_SONG’, mixing alternative synth-driven pop and guitar-driven rock.

LARRY PINK THE HUMAN are Mercury Prize-nominated songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Laurie Vincent and award-winning producer Jolyon Thomas, who released their first track as LARRY PINK THE HUMAN at the start of last year. Their new project is anthemic, refined and oh so catchy. On their new single, Vincent chants ‘Everybody needs someone’, the rhythmic mantra being supported by a well-composed and mostly guitar-driven soundscape that is a surprise from start to finish. There is no one genre and no one-sentenced recap that we can give on ‘ELEVEN11_GTR_SONG’. The song is truly something else, and starts out as an infectious alternative rock song, which then transforms into a slower contemporary hip hop-influenced sound with spoken word slash rapping vocals that uncover vulnerable lyrics and a deeper meaning to this absolute earwurm.

‘ELEVEN11_GTR_SONG’ lays its foundations upon the truism that all of us are reliant upon the support of those around us; a declaration of faith in humanity at a time when the world feels more polarised than ever before. If the last year has shown us anything it’s that we can live without many things, but to be away from our closest companions is the biggest challenge of all. We wanted to write about the ones that are with us and the ones that are no, and show how much we appreciate them. When it’s all said and done, everybody needs someone.” We could really not have worded it any better, and LARRY PINK THE HUMAN have offered us some support and comfort in wording it so infectiously.
