NOPRISM - 'Order'
Where there is futuristic new wave, there is Newcastle-based emerging alternative outfit NOPRISM. Their latest offering is appetising synthwave-fueled single ‘Order’.
NOPRISM create a catchy and uplifting mix for fans of ‘80s new wave and electrifying beats, and the band are now back with their brand new single ‘Order’. Mixing the vintage with modern beats, and landing in unknown territory somewhere between disco, funk and new wave, it’s magnifying and addictive and yet just another example of the bands’ expansive and inventive sound. The song comes with a video that shows a grand night out and a crowd that is unquestionably dancing their socks off fueled by NOPRISM’s undeniable energy.
The band are influenced by a love for ‘70s New York, early Chicago house, and angularly distorted guitar riffs. Talking about the inspiration behind the track, Andrew Young says: “It’s more-or-less about the attitudes of Brexit Britain and the ability of the press and politicians to repeat their agenda enough times until it becomes true. Exploring the illusory truth effect common with politics. Donald Trump, for example, was pretty fond of the technique.”
Soon, we will be able to dance and chant along to NOPRISM’s grand sound again, on the 10th of July in their hometown of Newcastle at independent music venue Little Buildings. Tickets are on sale here.
