Katelyn Tarver - ‘All Our Friends Are Splitting Up’
Shedding a light on all the confusion and grief that can come with the thought of jumping into a long term relationship unaware of the challenges to come, Katelyn Tarver shares new confessional single ‘All Our Friends Are Splitting Up’.
The acclaimed indie-pop singer and songwriter Katelyn Tarver returns to share a new, raw and honest piece which features her soft and soothing vocals against pricked guitar melodies. Conveying the story of being in the particular stage in life where you’re willing to fight for a relationship that, may not be perfect but it’s so precious you’d do everything to not “give it up”.
“This song is a look at the complexities of a long term relationship,” she explains. “The fear that can creep up when you feel disconnected, and the realization that you can’t predict what problems you’re going to run into when you decide to spend your life with someone. All you can do is promise to stay and fight for each other when those problems feel really big.” – says Tarver.
‘All Our Friends Are Splitting Up’ is the newest instalment of what promises to be a deeply emotional and authentic album. Set for release on October 15, Tarver’s new record ‘Subject To Change’ will not only explore the idea of losing the sense of self but will also be loaded with material that will leave listeners with a renewed clarity and deeper understanding of their own chaotic hearts.
