Sister Lucy - 'Dream'
South East London based artist Sister Lucy ticks all the boxes for a great dose of grunge fueled indie with debut track ‘Dream’.
For a debut track, ‘Dream’ is a strong introduction to Sister Lucy, with explosive tempo changes and distortion fueled guitars - this track could of easily sat there on a nineties Sub Pop compilation. But it is it’s mild imperfections that give it that modern twist, the new lease of fuzz that brings something new to the table.
Sister Lucy describes her music as 'the kind of music you scream singalong to by yourself in your bedroom’. And you can certainly feel that when it offers a bridge between the likes of Snail Mail meets girl in red. 'Dream' is the first single from my debut EP coming out later this year. The EP, written and recorded last year, is for women in their twenties. It's about the fear of growing up and getting old while also becoming wiser and weary of the world.
