Festival News: Slam Dunk Festival 2022 Reveals Final Headliner + More Acts

New year, same brilliant festival. Let’s kickstart 2022 with some new festival news — Slam Dunk are back with a new host of bands announced for Leeds and Hatfield.

Joining the likes of Alexisonfire, Sum 41 and The Dropkick Murphys comes quintessential pop punk exemplars Neck Deep, who now help to round off the festival headliner slots. The irrepressible Wrexham lads, well known for their effortlessly chaotic and fun live sets, are set to grace the festival once again, and this time as a headliner. Having played a prime slot at the main stage in 2019, it’s only fitting that they now have their time to shine.

Ben Barlow had this to offer: “We’re really stoked to be back at Slam Dunk. It’s one of our favourite fests to play and there really isn’t anything else like it. It feels like our whole world is right there at Slam Dunk. We’ve worked our way up over the years playing various different slots and it’s an honour to be one of the main acts this year. It’s been way too long since we’ve been back at the fest, we usually do something special around it so expect something cool in the run up. Or at the very least, a daft t shirt or two. See you there!”

Alongside Neck Deep comes another little list of class acts: Slam Dunk 2022 plays home to the return of both Cancer Bats and The Bronx; The Summer Set, playing Slam Dunk for the first since 2013, back when Wolverhampton followed Leeds and Hatfield; the fantastic Point North and Mom Jeans; and the brilliant up-and-comers As December Falls.

This line up, now approaching 40 incredible bands, is another example of what makes Slam Dunk so great — constantly shifting up the acts and just plain knowing what their fans want.

And I think all fans want now is June to be just a little closer.

Slam Dunk is taking place in June 2022:
03 - LEEDS Temple Newsam
04 - HATFIELD Hatfield House
