Aimée - 'Nobody Else'
Lively pop chick Aimée brings us soft optimistic sounds in her latest single ‘Nobody Else’. The single is a follow up from previous hits ‘Just a Phase’ and ‘Bulletproof’. Aimée emerged onto the scene in 2018 and since then her debut EP Confession reached number 1 on iTunes.
This Irish dancing queen is the life and soul of the party who uses fun yet serious words to get important messages across that matter. Her single ‘Don’t Call Me Pretty’ established her as an artist that is a force to be reckoned with and will not compromise on her feminism. Aimée finds comfort in her music through embracing honesty and finds peace from using her talent to respond to online bullies. Aimée is a champion of Irish women; s voices in an industry that she feels is dominated by men and Aimée acknowledges how women continue to fight for equality and reflects on her experience of being unheard.
‘Nobody Else’ has infectious dance hooks alongside catchy words that emphasises themes of love and by using her own experiences in life, Aimée adds vulnerability and pure passion and emotion to make it more personal. The groovy cheery rhythms are contagious and make you feel good but they also have an element of gentleness that slows it down a bit. The funky beats fill your heart with love and will instantly get you bopping along and having a laugh with others.
The vocals on the track are so smooth and elegant and the sweet mellow tones match perfectly with the upbeat tempos. The mixture of slick yet modern Swedish pop and jazzy 90’s R&B give it a nice twist to this genre of music and helps Aimée ’s music stand out as well as showcasing her ability to be both original and fresh, the range of spices and flavours she adds to the track help draw people in as this track is incredibly rich.
The positive energy shines through this tune as it helps lift spirits and motivates people to get ready for another beautiful day even if the sun isn’t out because it is important to be open minded when you’re in love as there will be challenges at times but if your ready for it then nothing can get in the way of loves power.
Aimée expresses that ‘Nobody Else’ is based on true love and happiness in herself as she explains that she is very lucky to be in a relationship with someone who is both her best friend and her safe place all in one. Aimée dedicates this one to her boyfriend and admits it’s the first one she’s wrote about him. This single is full of cheese and is really joyful which makes a nice change from other songs that have been about heartbreak. ‘Nobody Else’ allows Aimée to describe her journey of being head over heels in love and how it has blossomed over time from friendship to something more special between them.
I personally can relate to this tune and I am sure many others can which makes it so amazing; I am engaged to someone truly remarkable who is my world and I don’t want nobody else just him and I think that’s what Aimée is trying to say in her magnificent song writing about how there is nobody else for her. We all love a good chick flick especially us girls and a story about romance that has developed through music is going to do well in the charts because its soppy and poetic but also has sass and vibrance.
We look forward to hearing more influential songs from this Irish pop princess. Being in love is the best feeling and I hope she continues to spread this in any future songs.
