Everything Everything - 'I Want A Love Like This'
Manchester' indie royalty Everything Everything tease forthcoming album with brand new single ‘I Want A Love Like This’.
Electro-pop quartet, Everything Everything, have firmly stamped their name on the 2022 music catalogue with their unique optimistic dabblings and utilisation of computer-generated synths. Famed for their introspective lyricism and infectious soundscapes, newest release ‘I Want A Love Like This’ is a pulsating rhythmic cut that redefines the ‘alternative’ genre as the band take their music in a new, exciting direction.
Acting as the third single from their upcoming album, ‘Raw Data Feel’ (which as the name suggests, is a raw narrative from the heart), the drilling track takes a step back from the band’s indie-electronic roots to explore the world of disco-pop with the aid of A.I. technology and unadulterated, high-octane energy.
Talking on the new track, the band comment, “This song started as a challenge Alex set Jon to demo a “4-chord banger” that he could put through a particular rhythmic processor on his home-made modular synthesiser. It’s another very instinctive and impulsive composition, talking about a new relationship and a feel of optimism and possibility.”
The accompanying video, directed by Foals’ collaborator Kit Monteith, explores a world of heightened senses and colour as we travel through a kaleidoscope of scenes and flashing imagery.
Following on from previous releases, the experimental ‘Teletype’ and electrifying ‘Bad Friday’, ‘I Want A Love Like This’ offers a refreshing take on the band we know and love. With their revolutionary sixth album, ‘Raw Data Feel’ due out late May via Infinity Industries, 2022 is set to be an exciting year for the eclectic quartet.
