FRANSIS - 'Honeymoon'
With their first ever single ‘Honeymoon’, FRANSIS tease for the release of their EP which will be out in the near future of 1st July.
Previously known as Emma & The Idles, the four-piece band from London denote a few similarities to numerous other pop-rock/indie artists - such as Wolf Alice and Florence and the Machine, and much like these artists, FRANSIS’ music also conveys a narrative. ‘Honeymoon’ transports the listener back to the transitional periods, from child to teens to adulthood. It expresses the deep feeling of the “sweetness of childhood rebellion” turning into “the sense of freedom and indestructibility” as a teen ,which heavily resonate with the audience who relate and therefore join in by reflecting on their own lives as they sing along to the majestic melodies which get fixed in the listener’s head.
However it is important to note that this captivating song is not fuelled with regret but rather, ‘Honeymoon’ thrives on the passionate, powerful and soulful lyrics which drive the song forward while alongside bass , guitar and drums. This consequates to the creation of an iconic and distinctive sound which is unique to FRANSIS.
The band are set for successful future and are definitely a name to be on the look out for in the future.
If you like ‘Honeymoon’, are a Wolf Alice fan, or are just up for an incredible night full of new music and a good boogie, FRANSIS host their very own EP launch party on the 1st July at The Water Rats, London – an event we highly recommend attending!
