Izzy S.O - 'Flirting With Strangers'
Izzy S.O ticks boxes for the likes of Holly Humberstone and Avril Lavigne on latest single ‘Flirting With Strangers’.
Starting off with a peaceful acoustic guitar sounds that draws you into the track, as it builds up to an interesting but modern take on 90s grunge-pop. Reminding us of early Avril tracks while also giving off that delicate tone of Humberstone. It takes a good two minutes of the track for it too fully kick, but once it does it fully unfolds it’s layers into a piece of fuzzy pop perfection.
'Growing up in quite an idealistic way and then being abruptly shocked into adulthood and given a very different truth, its about the chaos that comes with being confused about your past and being concerned about your future. It was a time where I was being reckless and living fast trying to outrun the sadness of leaving my younger self behind, whilst also believing the messiness was needed as I'd lived a lot of my life trying to be perfect. 'There's no place like here' is realizing that you have to find weight and safety in the present otherwise you live your whole life feeling scattered’ - explains Izzy.
