Stevie Bill - 'Good Luck To Your New Girlfriend'
23 year old Dutch born, New York based Stevie Bill returns with soaring new release ‘Good Luck With Your New Girlfriend’.
After a two-year hiatus, Stevie Bill is back with her fiery new single “Good Luck to your New Girlfriend”. This angsty breakup anthem expresses her frustration and callous attitude towards an ex navigating their new relationship, allowing self-affirmation as she compares her own experience to the same inauthenticity of this new one. Along the likes of Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U,” Bill contributes to the empowerment of reacting not with self-doubt or questioning but rather the satisfaction of wishing them luck and knowing you’re better off.
The opening lines “I was 15, I was in love” promise a reflective and relatable narrative to follow—the upbeat pop-rock combination transporting you back to storming into your teenage bedroom, slamming the door, and blasting your stereo. The song captures her influence of 90s pop star Avril Lavigne and offers a bit more of an edge than her previous releases “The Hotel” and “Better.” This is especially experienced after the song confesses her ex to have been absent from one of her release parties, while the girl he cheated with was there, culminating to a silent and cathartic “What the fuck boy?”
There is no doubt that Bill is back with tons of energy and opinions, it will be interesting to see what she has to say next.
