Tom A. Smith - 'Never Good Enough'

Tom A. Smith is set to release his incredible new track titled ‘Never Good Enough’ which in fact surpasses the description of being ‘good’!

Kickstarting his career early, 18 year old Tom A. Smith has already had immense success in the music world. From supporting artists such as Miles Kane and Gang of Youths to being invited to play some major festivals such as Glastonbury and Leeds festival later this year, Tom A. Smith has been heavily praised by some major names in the music industry – Sir Elton John announcing him as a future “big star”.

Tom’s upcoming single, Never Good Enough, will be released on the 8th July and is already fuelling the fan with anticipation with the knowledge of experienced Larry Hibbitt having produced the track. Never Good Enough opens with a groovy musical accompaniment under vocal humming from Tom until the first verse begins. Throughout the song, the audience are fixated on the melodies and lyrics as the drum rhythm pushes and drives the song forwards between verses and the choruses. The catchy nature of the chorus is a key moment of the track as the repetition of the lyrics and the gradual build in volume builds tension in preparation for the surprise and unexpected saxophone appearance which even has its own musical interlude which grabs the audiences attention further through the constant variety and interest generated throughout.

Many of us have been in the position that Never Good Enough is written from where no matter what we do, it still doesn’t quite seem like enough. This meaning behind the song, alongside Tom’s vocal style – which is similar to that of Henry Camamile from Sea Girls – immediately entices and attracts an audience who are eager to dance and singalong to a relatable song as it gives them a sense of clarity that they are not alone in feeling this emotion.

Tom A. Smith is set for an even more successful future in the music world and is definitely an artist to frequently keep up to date with on new releases and shows as he truly is a must-see artist!
