Lexie Carroll - 'Fall for Anything'

Lexie Carroll turns heartbreak into dance with ‘Fall for Anything’.

Following the release of the emotional “If I Built My Home from Paper”, the 17-year old singer shows her pop skills. From time to time a young singer impresses with honest lyrics and something that makes them stand out from the crowd. And 2022 seems to be the year for Lexie Carroll.

Today she is releasing her new single called “Fall for Anything”, which comes right after the success of her folk heartfelt single “If I Built My Home from Paper”, which she wrote about her mom.

“Fall for Anything” is a step into indie-pop, way more upbeat than her previous single and any other song from her EP “when the sun came up”, released earlier this year.

Even though the lyrics tell a sad story about being in a hot-cold relationship (which most people in the modern life can relate), you can’t help but feel good while singing the chorus: “We can do this dance til we fall down/ Or am I not the one you want around/ Oh am I a fool, fall for anything/ You make the call and I’ll take it’.

On her social media she gave sneak peeks of both the song and the video. “Truly living my best pop girlie life filming the video for FFA - a very strange but fun experience”, she captioned.

The video shows an awkward breakfast date with a person that has a paper bag over their real face.

As she tried to uncover their real face, we can see herself turning into a sad version of herself, also covered with a paper bag. “I wrote ‘fall for anything’ about being in a confusing relationship where you're not sure where you stand. When the other person isn't giving much back but is still kind of stringing you along, which can be quite frustrating!”, she explains.

If you are curious to see that live, Lexie will be performing at the Assembly House, in London, next Wednesday and tickets are free. You can register clicking here.
