Festival Preview: Live At Leeds In the Park 2023
Festival News – Live At Leeds: In The Park announces more huge names to add to list of headliners
After the successful launch of Live At Leeds: In The Park last year, the all-day festival is set to return this summer, equipped with some of indie and alt-music’s finest.
In 2022, Live At Leeds introduced their ‘In The Park’ festival to accompany the traditional ‘In The City’ version, which is renowned for bringing light to the industry’s most exciting upcoming names. Last year saw Bombay Bicycle Club, Easy Life, Arlo Parks and more all take to the stage, quickly earning the event its own recognition in the musical calendar.
Following In The Park’s outstanding debut, it’s safe to say that expectations for this year’s festival were high. An initial line-up consisting of the likes of Everything Everything, Two Door Cinema Club, The Lathums, and more, offered a promising start. Excitement for the forthcoming event grew on Tuesday when the second wave of acts was announced, revealing that DMA’s, The Hives, and Crawlers are amongst the names taking to the new music festival’s stage at Leeds’ Temple Newsam Park on Saturday 27th May.
With a new album scheduled for release in March, modern guitar music legends DMA’s are expected to provide a show-stealing set. The band will be performing alongside alt-rockers Crawlers, whose debut mixtape ‘Loud With Noise’ was met with overwhelming support from fans and critical acclaim. Garage-rock veterans The Hives and genre-defying Cavetown are further additions to the bill who are due to give unforgettable performances.
The 5-stage festival promises to not only celebrate the biggest acts in music, but also highlight noteworthy emerging artists. Manchester four-piece Afflecks Palace, renowned live musicians Priestgate, and indie-soul band Skinny Living are just a few of the new music discoveries awaiting their showcase.
With a programme jam-packed with some of the best names in the indie and alternative scene, it looks like Live At Leeds: In The Park is guaranteed to be an momentous day for live music fans and tastemakers alike for its second year in a row.
