CloseUp // Track of the Month #17 - Nature TV - ’Frida’
It’s well into gig season, in what’s actually the busiest month in CloseUp’s humble history, with 20+ live events in a 4 week period. One of these is dreamy, pop infused quartet Nature TV, who’ve just released mesmerising EP ‘Mid Flight’ via the notorious indie champions, Heist or Hit.
Gliding through your headphones, EP single ‘Frida’ embodies all things Nature TV. Undercurrents of groove, their dream-pop come lovesick pop has seen them turning heads across the UK. FFO Day Wave, or Wild Nothing, there is a certain depth to what Nature TV offer.
Speaking on the track, Nature TV said.. “‘Frida’ is about those people who keep you awake at night, but absolutely wouldn’t be right for you. In most cases, you both come to realise that in time. Sometimes you’ll make a move, but more often they’ll be thought of as the one that got away. It can be better to never act, but leave them up on a pedestal. Fantasy, nine times out of 10, is better than reality.”
Don’t miss their landmark LDN headline show at Colours, Hoxton. This October (27/10).
