Festival News: The Isle of Wight Festival has finally announced their 2024 lineup!

The Isle of Wight Festival has finally announced their 2024 lineup!

From the 20th to the 23rd of June, The Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys, and Green Day will be headlining the festival stage.

From EDM legends to alternative rock bands to a Swedish pop star, 2024’s festival is not going to be something to miss out on. There will be music for all festivalgoers to enjoy, such as Irish folk from The Mary Wallopers and soul tunes from the UK’s very own Queen of Soul, Beverly Knight. Plenty of opportunities for singing along to classic favourites, too, with bands like The Bootleg Beatles, known as the world’s best Beatles tribute band, and the iconic Scottish rock group Simple Minds who penned the ‘80s hit “Don’t You” performing over what’s going to be a jam-packed weekend. Newcomers, such as British indie group The K’s and Norway’s Dagny, will be there for younger audiences to enjoy. There will be music from just about every decade in the last sixty years and every type of genre; all types of music lovers of all ages will get to enjoy this festival. Might I say, quite a unique array of musicians, too!

And, of course, the official lineup. There’s a lot to look forward to here:

Friday the 20th

The Progidy, The Streets, Crowded House, The Darkness, The K’s, The Bootleg Beatles

Saturday the 22nd

Pet Shop Boys, Keane, Blossoms, Jake Shears

Sunday the 23rd

Green Day, Simple Minds, Nothing But Thieves, Zara Larsson, McFly, Picture This, Beverly Knight

Even more is to be expected at the Big Top from the likes of Britpop band Suede, Jo Whiley’s 90s Anthems, Dagny, The Mary Wallopers, Toyah & Robert Fripp (returning for a second round), and the Rick Parfitt Jnr Band, with pop-rock trio Scouting For Girls starting off the festival right on the evening of Thursday, 19th June.

This lineup is already looking deliciously wonderful with more superb acts to be announced soon. There’s just over half a year to go before heading down to the island, (Have you started the countdown?). Every year, Isle of Wight always seems to bring an interesting blend of contemporary and oldie music hits, and they’re certainly doing it again.

Fancy going yourself? Tickets for next year’s festival go on sale on Monday, 6th November at 9:00 AM GMT via www.isleofwightfestival.com. (Barclaycard and Three customers, get special pre-sale access for the next 48 hours!) It’s going to be a fab festival!
