Magnetic Skies - 'You Shine On'

Magnetic Skies uphold their reputation of releasing euphoric, dreamy synthpop with latest track ‘You Shine On’.
The London outfit are fast being associated with being brilliantly unique, and the latest single is nothing less. The beautifully arranged vocals include variation of singer which will have listeners finding themselves wanting more.
From its almost Wolf-Alice like verses, to the dreamy choruses, ‘You Shine On’ is the embodiment of what Magnetic Skies are all about. Such an interesting and quite frankly brilliant outfit, the London group have nailed it with their latest release.
The visuals accompanying the song are quite simply something to behold. Almost hallucinogenic in its execution, the video perfectly encompasses that dreamy sound that the band have achieved in the latest single.
The band have stated that the song ‘Is a love song, a story about two people finding each other despite divisions from outside, and about being true to yourself […]’ These two motives behind the song are perfectly expressed in the track, from the variation of singers, almost like the physical practiced of these two ideas which have created the song in the first place.
Since 2021, the band have been a four-piece, with original members Simon Kent and Jo Womar adding to their line-up with guitarist Carlos Aguilar and drummer Lenin Alegria, and it’s been a decision which has definitely taken the group to the next level. There is a real fullness to the band’s sound, and the latest single is the perfect example of what the band can do.
The debut album ‘Empire Falling’ is due for release later this year, and the band also have scheduled plans for a handful of UK tour dates, so 2023 is destined to be huge for Magnetic Skies. Stream ‘You Shine On’ from February 17th.
