Honey Revenge - 'Airhead'
Honey Revenge have treated us with an new single ‘Airhead’ from their just announced debut album.
Los Angeles’s pop-rock duo Honey Revenge have just announced their debut album “Retrovision”. Their debut album will be released on June 23rd. To celebrate their announcement, Honey Revenge have released a new single of their debut album“Retrovision”, the opening track “Airhead”.
Setting the dramatic energy of what the album may be ahead ‘Airhead’ is a punchy opener. Deep drums that sit in the groove of the popping joy this track gives. ‘Airhead’ is one of those pop-rock tracks that is lighthearted and wild at heart. Edgy and catchy lyrics shine though accompanied by a dancy melody, that’s still rocks on. Even if the track is about the bad decision you make. Even if you know that decision doesn’t come with a great outcome. Personal reflection of your own actions can make you write an banger of a song. Let’s be real, we all probably relate to ‘Airhead’, well Honey Revenge more then we come to realise. They tend to hit you with the truth and yes I am right with you.
What is still playing in my mind is the grunt of the guitar melody, it get you. Its a short cord, that’s perfect and sticks out like a sore thumb. it’s no doubt that people will recognise the song from this. The guitar also gets time to shine in ‘Airhead’ during the bridge, where the track takes a turn into a shredding moment while the vocals echo back of the track.
Honey Revenge’s ‘Airhead’ is a relatable fun bop that highlights the band. Now we wait for their debut album “Retrovision” to be released on June 23rd. Where I have feeling it’s going filled with short fast pop-rock jams.
