CloseUp // Track Of The Month #12 - Gecko Club - ‘Foolish’
We’re looking at festival season, on the horizon, and it’s edging closer, oh yes it is. CloseUp Festival is our biggest yearly event and takes place in LDN (Colours, Hoxton) this May. (20th & 21st). We’re focusing on CloseUp Fest performing artist a month with our When The Horn Blows monthly track of the month from here on out. We can almost taste the Jagermeister mule!!
The first festival focused TOTM comes from surf-infused, greater LDN quintet, Gecko Club. GC have been touring the UK & Europe relentlessly for the last 18 months, ticking off 50+ shows including their upcoming landmark headline show at Hackney’s notorious Moth Club, and upcoming CUF mainstage slot in May.
New single ‘Foolish’ embodies the outfits' indie come reggae roots, but adds a level of depth & polished production we’ve not yet seen. Harmony laden, lyrically driven, the latest cut shows a band that are comfortable within their sound, and building outward. Don’t miss Gecko Club on the Saturday of CloseUp Festival 2023 at London’s Colours, May 20th.
Listen now, and see you next month! CloseUp HQ x
