Samurai Pizza Cat - ‘The Wolf In Me’
German party rockers Samurai Pizza Cat have released their new single ‘The Wolf In Me’ coming from their just announced debut album ‘You’re Hellcome’.
Samurai Pizza Cat was born out of the insane minds of guitarist, songwriter and producer Danskimo (Daniel Haniß, Electric Callboy) and Sebastian Fischer (Fall Of Gaia). This supergroup creates a delicious pizza of Metalcore and Deathcore where their infectious tones and mighty screams fill up your tummy.
There is no stopping Samurai Pizza Cat, from the moment you hit play on ‘The Wolf In Me’ you’re on the train to metal hell. The hell deep guitar is heard along with the rumble of the storm that’s about to come. The master fury scream of vocalist Sebastian Fischer is thrown in your face. It’s no surprise this supergroup nailed it from the first note, but as the track progressed it’s very clear they are in their own lane. Combining Metalcore and Deathcore is no easy feat but Samurai Pizza Cat have cooked it perfectly. It will have you headbanging and dancing crazy during the whole 3:28 minute track as it takes over you just like a wolf during a full moon.
What stands out, particularly, is how well executed they wrote and produced their transitions from verse - bridge - chorus, or the more Deathcore to Metalcore sections. The ease of the electronic beats and clean vocals that explode into this catchy hook. That’s filled with the softer side of Samurai Pizza Cat. This shows how creative and talented they really are.
They have also released a killer music video for the track ‘The Wolf In Me’. A dark love story that ends with a twist that you can stick your teeth into. No spoilers here.
Samurai Pizza Cat’s ‘The Wolf In Me’ and the music video is out now. Their debut album ‘Your Hellcome’ will be released 22nd of September via Easthaven Records.
