Lambrini Girls - 'Big D*** Energy'
Lambrini Girls finally release long awaited track ‘Big D*** Energy’ from their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’.
‘Big D*** Energy’ is a phrase that has been floating around the internet for quite some time now, it’s a phrase that suggests someone is ‘well in doud’ without needing the proof to back it up. It is usually applied to a person who oozes confidence and cockiness - as it were- and a great way to keep churning the old toxic masculinity machine.
The tune has been a fan favourite since around 2021, and has finally been released along with a lyric video with shots of the band playing, the Urban Dictionary definition of the phrase and cringeworthy hinge messages. Lambrini Girls are no stranger to politically charged songs and this one is no exception, the band perfectly blend their political beliefs and their cheeky humour with their new track. Whilst the lyrics are extremely relatable and funny, the song is fueled by shredding guitars and a booming drum beat that requires some seriously concerning headbanging.
The band say about the song ‘Fuelling mens sense of entitlement and insecurities leads to harmful behaviours. Which when left unchecked, means we have to deal with the fallout. The definition of ‘Big Dick Energy’ is a confidence that doesn’t need proving. Which begs the question, how big is that dick in reality? If you haven’t figured this out by now, it’s not that big.’ The band confront this notion head on the track, and it makes for a sensationally scrappy anthem for people that have to deal with the after-effect of toxic masculinity everywhere.
‘Big D*** Energy’ can be found on Lambrini Girls new record ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ set to be released January 10th 2025, which the band commented: ‘You know how Fleetwood Mac almost dedicated Rumours to their cocaine dealer? I think we should dedicate this album to all the booze we bought at Tesco.’ Well said guys.
