charly haze - 'Shake Off'
Having just announced her new EP 'Poly Pop', which is due out in September - charly haze continues to dazzle with latest single 'Shake Off'.
The track sees charly flirt with a more lo-fi sound, taking inspiration from New Order and Day Wave, and moody pop artists like Sky Ferreira. Adding acoustic guitars, distorted chopped-up vocals as well as ominous arpeggiators and haunting voicenote snippets. With her catchy melodies and painfully relatable storytelling (“thought we were love drunk, but you’re two years sober”), charly continues to capture the fine line between hope and abandonment, desire and crushing heartbreak.
