Good Charlotte - 'Stepper'
Maryland pop-punkers Good Charlotte drop the official music video for their latest single ‘Stepper’.
After nearly three decades of crafting anthems for underdogs, dreamers, and the broken, Good Charlotte prove they’re far from finished - with their new album ‘Motel Du Cap’ just weeks away from release. Blending fresh energy with a bold return to their roots, the band’s eighth studio album marks a powerful reunion - with Benji and Joel Madden once again joined by original bandmates, Paul Thomas on bass and Billy Martin on guitar.
The genre-defying, multi-platinum rock icons offered a raw and rebellious first taste last month with ‘Rejects’ - and now they’re turning up the heat with their latest single, ‘Stepper’. Speaking about the release, the Madden brothers describe the track as “a song about showing up for life, for yourself, and for the people you love.” It’s a motivational message that resonates through the song’s honest lyrics and infectious hooks - a perfect reflection of the band’s high-energy pop-punk spirit.
The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Erik Rojas, starring the brothers as motel maintenance managers. As the video unfolds, the twins watch from behind the scenes as an array of guests perform every day, mundane tasks in their rooms - gradually transforming from routine to revitalised, gaining confidence and fully stepping into their element with each verse.
As anticipation builds for ‘Motel Du Cap’, it’s clear that Good Charlotte aren’t revisiting their legacy - they're redefining it for a new era. Reunited, reenergised, and as relevant as ever, they’ve entered their next chapter with a renewed sense of purpose and a sound that bridges where they’ve been with where they’re going.
