The Indigo Project - 'Sertraline'
The Indigo Project have made their long-awaited return after a long summer break with their latest single ‘Sertraline’.
Ever since forming back in 2015, this Leeds outfit have only been on an upward trajectory. In those 4 years The Indigo Project has created and grown up with their loyal fan base, with that popularity securing support slots alongside the likes Maximo Park and performances at the likes of Reading & Leeds.
One of the things that you notice with The Indigo Project when you first listen to them is that their sound is certainly heavier than expected, there is rawness in each word and given the theme of the song, a sense of pain. Frontman Joe Spink has been self-admitting in the themes behind ‘Sertraline’, stating that the writing process got him through “really troubling times” but is glad to have “something positive” come from it all.
It can take a band a long time to find their voice and really bare their souls in their tracks, something that seems to come naturally these group of lads. ‘Sertraline’ is certainly a breath of fresh air and just another stepping stone in could be a long and bright career for The Indigo Project.
