Escape reality and enter the wonderful and frightening world of Yammerer.

In world that relies heavily on social media, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Yammerer are a fictional band. They are just too good to be real. Their brand-new EP Reality Escape Resort defines a collection of four arty and intelligent songs that are otherworldly. They are built around the frantic energy of initially improvised guitar music that is like an audio version of a Jackson Pollock painting. The riffs are jagged and angular with a rhythm section that holds it all together. It’s a powerhouse of music that sucks you in and doesn’t let you go. But you won’t want to leave.

What adds to the intrigue of Yammerer are the lyrics and vocal delivery from J.C. They are fascinating, captivating, and his storytelling is inspiring. Although the band like the lyrics to be left for the listener’s individual interpretation, they have confirmed that “The first three tracks of this EP are an account of the causes of suffering; Delusion, Aversion and Attachment, respectively. The final track is an account of the cycle of these 3 causes.” So, you could consider Reality a concept EP. I’ve never heard of one before, so this could very well be a music history first.

Yammerer have the potential to become the biggest cult band in the UK. Scrap that, the biggest cult band in the world.
