Following on from their release 'Thrash Metal Cassette', Dinosaur Pile Up gift us with their new single 'Back Foot' from the up and coming record 'Celebrity Mansions'.

Dinosaur Pile Up are one of those bands that have fallen just under the radar for a large amount of their career. Their appetite for giving us well crafted grungey, pop punk songs has never faltered though and with this release, you get the feeling a justification to why they should be now recognized further is just around the corner.

'Back Foot' bursts into life with a heavy undeniable riff that instantly captures and smashes you straight on the chin. Lead singer, Matt Bigland, perfectly demonstrates his writing style with a pop, punk, rap esq vocal melody. Think Slim Shady's original LP with a grunge band backline! Matt's lyrics envelopes and glides along a story of the monotonous social circumstances we live with today offering a fun and comedic take on every day situations. The main riff is your guide to 'Back Foot' giving the track a boldness and attitude making you feel your in familiar territory but still keeping the genre fresh and inviting.

The single amalgamates all of what Dinosaur Pile Up are about. Crushing riffs, recognizable vocal hooks and catchy songwriting. 'Back Foot' has already debuted as Radio 1's hottest rock song and cements their place as one of the most exciting bands out there. Is it right to say this track is one of the bands best songs to date?...arguably YES.

'Celebrity Mansions' is due for release on the 7th June and giving the standard of the current singles you cant help but feel you are onto something a bit special.
