Phantom Isle - 'Whip'
New Wave’s next great outfit Phantom Isle are ready to whip up a scene and help us all through these uncertain times with their infectious new single ‘Whip’.
This Northamptonshire outfit have really weathered some treacherous waters in the last few years, with their original bass player Matt Marchant tragically passing away in 2019. The four-piece have bravely carried on and are tackling this year the only way they know how with some infectious New Wave sound with a tinge of psychedelia that really takes the listener on a journey.
‘Whip’ is the third single of 2020, born from a jamming session last year and is a great continuation of the high-octane ‘MAR V’ and drag us around the obstacle that is 2020 and enjoys doing it. ‘Whip’ takes Phantom Isle back to their “teenage years” and that shows as they take inspiration from across generations and used it as an opportunity to “laugh in the face” of the situation we all find ourselves in.
Phantom Isle perfectly found their avenue in New Wave and this continuous pumping out of music is proving to be a great source of the relief for the quartet ae they continue to establish themselves as one of the brightest musical prospects right now.
‘Whip’, the new single from Phantom Isle is available now on all major streaming platforms.
