Black Honey - 'I Like The Way You Die'

Brighton four-piece Black Honey continue to redefine the indie-rock scene as they prepare for second album and share new unfiltered single ‘I Like The Way You Die’.

With a Top 40 album already in the bag, British new rockstars, Black Honey present their new sassy and fierce track ‘I Like The Way You Die’, the third single of their upcoming second album ‘Written & Directed’, to be released on January 2021.  

A cinematic indie-rock tune, the track has all the signature elements of Black Honey’s empowering vignettes. From the twangyguitar to the clever lyricism and woozy “woo-oo-oo-oos”. ‘I Like The Way You Die’ is an anthemic song with a feme-fatale spirit meant for world-conquering women. As Lead singer Izzy B. Phillips explains, “I made this record for young women to feel invincible”.

Having become one of the most recognizable faces in the new rock movement, the band joins the likes of Vant, Des Rocs, K.Fly, and grandson. Black Honey step into the room with a very straightforward message and their new album promises to be drenched with a hedonistic, anything-goes attitude. Although 2021 feels ages away, we are eagerly awaiting for the album but we now have ‘I Like The Way You Die’ to carry us through the last straw of the year.
