Youth Sector - 'Teeth'

Youth Sector have been stung by sinister magnetism with their new single ‘Teeth’.

This Brighton outfit made up of five lads from Portsmouth and London, aren’t ones to dwell on the bleakness and instead take that and turn it on its head with an unrelenting burst of positive energy woven throughout each word of each song.

Something we are seeing more and more throughout the quintet’s music is a high appreciation for inspired funk from yesteryear. Focusing more on interesting and accessible instrumental and ‘Teeth’ is very much cut from that same cloth.

Off the bat, ‘Teeth’ greets us with one of most impressive and addictive bass lines of the year, pushing the listener right to the edge with its urgency and unpredictability as Youth Sector explore the “sinister magnetism” that untrustworthy people possess and how they can slither into our lives with their “charms”.

‘Teeth’ slithers into your ears and into your brain, especially with that incredible bass line and takes a long while to leave. Youth Sector’s dedication to their sound is really paying off and makes the five-piece one of the acts to watch going into 2021.
