EP Review: Thyla - 'Everything At Once'
Brighton alt-rock outfit Thyla are releasing their sophomore EP ‘Everything at once’ and it’s everything you want and more.
In the space of four tracks, ‘Everything at once’ showcases Thyla’s full potential to become one of the big players in the alt-rock and indie scene. While title track ‘Everything’ and first single ‘Two Sense’ play to their powerhouse rock strengths with anthemic choruses, infectious drums and top-notch vocals, stand-out tracks ‘December’ and ‘Lenox Hill’ show a softer, more vulnerable side. Wrapped in captivating harmonies and sharp, clear vocals Thyla leave nothing unsaid, no emotional rock unturned: “I know I’m alive but there’s nothing left of me anymore. I’m feeling violent, I’m sick of the silence and I can’t hide it anymore.”
This band didn’t come to play, they’re here to win and they’re not giving up until they get what they deserve. Determined and endlessly empowering, Thyla give you a positively earth shattering second EP, leaving no room for doubt that this four-piece is on the road to something great.
