EP Review: Ben Harris - 'Grace(s)'

Ben Harris has started the year with the release of his debut EP, ‘Grace(s)’ which is comprised of three wonderful tracks that meticulously weave cinematic influences through singer-songwriter stylings.

‘Wait’ is an atmospheric, downtempo track featuring affecting washed out vocals in the style of Phil Collins and slow burning production that builds with orchestral, ambient beauty. ‘Wait’ sits nicely alongside the majestic ‘Grace’ which has a sincere, uplifting feel to it, and the effervescent and rousing, ‘Wrecked’ an infectious poppy tune that simmers with retro 80s sensibilities.

This is a lively, vibrant and evocative record with relatable soul-searching lyricism, that still feels organic despite its electronic influences.
