Febueder – 'When You Speak to Mingus'
Avant-indie duo Febueder return with new single ‘When You Speak to Migus’ – a track inspired by Jazz genius Charles Mingus that can only be described as interesting.
‘When You Speak to Migus’ is strange but in the best sense of the word. Experimental in its structure and approach to songwriting, it seamlessly switches between moods and sounds. Dark and dramatic theatre with chaotic energy. It’s fun yet haunting, calm yet unsettling, it’s a lot to take in.
Granted, it might take a couple of listens to get into Febueder’s progressive take on rhythm and melody but once you’re in it, you’re in it. Chances are, you’ll have the song on repeat because you keep finding new little details you hadn’t noticed before - A truly fascinating experience.
