London based Quintet Chapter And Verse unleash their new EP “Love & Error” and we don’t think the world is quite ready for this awe inspiring release!..

Off the back of the success from previous EP “Glow” the lads have been working hard on their craft and have been drip feeding three of four tracks available on Love & Error (Bad Blood, Always, Sweet Time) all with music videos and it’s undeniable how after each single released they grow in confidence in their ability to create infectious tracks born for huge crowds.

Bad Blood kicks off the EP with intense energy, an infectious guitar riff and a punchy rhythm section which is hard to not bang your head to. Vocalist Joshua’s delivery is spot on, he has a kind of angelic sounding vocal but with a pinch of aggression guiding you along what is set to be the fantastic journey that is ‘love and error’. Beauty sleep keeps the foot on the accelerator with the high impact chorus’ and dipping their toes into some cool synths and electronic elements within the track. What I love about Chapter And Verse is that they have a true star quality about them, they clearly spend a lot of time working on these tracks going over each section with a fine tooth comb to get squeeze the very best out of each bit.

Always begins with a solid electronic beat and then smashes you in the face with a very ballad-like guitar riff. In my opinion Always is the weakest track on the EP but still suits the whole vibe and let’s be honest, if this is the weakest track but is still a banger, what does that say for the rest of the EP! Though I feel that it is the weaker of the tracks it still holds its own and has a great emotional energy in it. Sweet Time puts Chapter and Verse right back on track with this insanely catchy content, this has got to be my favourite track on the EP. The pulse in the beat from the synergy between the bass and drums gets under your skin, and you can’t help but want to jump around and we all need music like that whilst in isolation! The lyrical content from Joshua you can tell has been carefully crafted but also, I can hear the personal touch in his delivery, with clearly great results throughout. Where we’ve been is the EP closer and also the track which the lads haven’t released in single form. It’s definitely worth picking up an EP for this track alone. Where we’ve been has a very epic, larger than life vibe and I have a strong feeling that this track would be an absolute blinder live.

Chapter And Verse are totally deserving of a main stage festival slot so as soon as we can start going to live events again, let’s hope that the lads manage to grab a main stage slot at a festival soon! I for one will definitely be hitting up a Chapter and Verse show as soon as is possible. What phenomenal stuff!
