Public Body – ‘Naughty on My Bike’

Hate public transport? So do Public Body.

Brighton’ Public Body want to “write the perfect soundtrack to you procrastinating at your day job”. They have, quite frankly, nailed it with their latest single ‘Naughty on My Bike’. Set to the post-punk, jagged riffing similar to Egyptian Blue, Public Body criticise public transport with classic British wit – “[it’s] overpriced and sluggish. Walking is slower still. In cycling we find the balance between speed and convenience”.

‘Naughty on My Bike’ is just great. In two and half minutes, Public Body cram in great hooks, great riffs and a great machine gun-style part towards the end, whilst chanting “I don’t care for walking anymore.” It’s fun, yet serious. But mostly fun.
