Post Rome have returned to get hips and the North East music scene shaking with their vibrant new single ‘Different Kids’.

This trio have been inseparable from a young age, with Jasper, Ben and Jamie meeting at their primary school in Sunderland. Fast forward and the Mackem three-piece have become of the one of the brightest prospects in the ever-expansive North East music scene with their variation of alternative rock.

Despite their career still only budding, Post Rome have accomplished things bands years their senior can only imagine, including headlining their local venue Independent back in March to celebrate the launch of ‘Different Kids’ in front of a capacity crowd.

‘Different Kids’ may only be less than two and a half minutes long, but certainly packs a lot into that time. You’re first hit with a heavy introduction, something Post Rome are known for, before being thrown off course into a funk-infested track that wouldn’t be out of place in the 1980’s.

Behind the funk lays a track that reflects on growing up, what life lessons come through that and how inevitably mistakes arise from that process. ‘Different Kids’ is defining point in a career on the upswing and places Post Rome at the forefront of music in the North East.

‘Different Kids’, the new single from Post Rome is available now on all major streaming platforms.
