London based singer-songwriter Charlie Cunningham releases breath taking new EP ‘Pieces’ – a little piece of comfort in times of confusion.

‘Pieces’ spans four stunning tracks, each playing canvas to Charlie’s rich landscape of pastel sounds. Warm vocals gently dance along waves of ethereal melodies, led either by swaying acoustic guitars or dreamy instrumentals. To top it all off, intricate lyricism compliments his delicately poetic brand of folk – “If we stop stalling maybe we’ll arrive. What’s one more hill to climb?” (‘Climb’)

Halfway point ‘All This’ colours outside the lines. Instead of moving to tears with his gentle vocals, here, Charlie stays deliberately silent, giving a beautiful piano ballad space to roam freely. It ebbs and flows effortlessly, creating an air of peace centred in solitude and quiet.

With ‘Pieces’, Charlie has woven a blanket of soft, soothing sounds to turn to when life gets a little tough, a perfect escape for daydreamers and night-thinkers. Listening to this EP feels like walking into a big hug, and Lord knows we can all use one of those sometimes.
