Sarpa Salpa - 'Forwards Backwards'

Sarpa Salpa are back, fresh off the heels of their debut EP and are taking the listener on a wild ride with the electric new single ‘Forwards Backwards’. 

It has already been quite the year for this quintet, with the release of their acclaimed debut EP ‘Say Something’ garnering them significant play on Radio 1 and led to a series of sold out headline shows throughout the first two months of 2020. It was only meant to get bigger for Sarpa Salpa, with a coveted headline slot at The Great Escape Festival which has since been cancelled. 

Despite the current situation, it hasn’t been all bad for Sarpa Salpa with the announcement of their inclusion for Radio 1’s Big Weekend and found the time to record their next two singles. Forwards Backwards’ coinciding with what would have been their headline slot down in Brighton. What the new single does signify is a new era for the band, the first track recorded as a five-piece. 

The addition of keys has added a new layer to give them a richer, fuller sound. There’s no brakes for Sarpa Salpa as they take the listener on a wild ride with electric speed to give us a track to truly remember and set themselves onto the path for success.
