Last Youth - 'Violent Ends'

Last Youth consider the ‘Violent Ends’ to violent delights on their explosive alt rock single which explores the destructive side to superficial living.

From Romeo and Juliet to Westworld, the ominous warning, “these violent delights have violent ends'“ have ingrained themselves into popular culture for hundreds of years. Ohio two-piece Last Youth (Joe and Cody) breath new resonance into this phrase on their smouldering alt rock single , ‘Violent Ends’ which is a dark, brooding , stuttering groove that takes the best of melodic alt rock influences and pits them head to head with explosive mainstream aesthetics.

On the ideas behind the track, Last Youth explains:
"Suddenly we realized that power, beauty and money are worthless and couldn't give us the oxygen we are fighting for. This world is sending us a message "You are not necessary. You are guests here and not my masters." These violent delights we have engaged with and become so used to are fighting back at us with such violent ends".

’Violent Ends’ is the predecessor to Last Youth’s new single, Social Distance Queen’ which pairs dreamy retro influences with a big pop rock bop of a chorus. Both tunes are available to listen to below!
