Carter James – 'Throw Me Into The Sea'
Boston singer songwriter Carter James opens up on new single ‘Throw Me Into The Sea’.
“’Throw Me in the Sea’ is a ballad about not feeling good enough,” James explains.
To an immersive soundscape that incorporates the soothing sounds of waves rushing to the shore, he talks about self-worth and mental health. It’s a song that impresses as much with atmospheric beats and intricate melodies as it does with hard-hitting lyricism. “Drown me slowly lover” is only one of many heart-breaking moments that see emotions bubbling over.
Talking more about the track, Carter adds: “My goal is to openly express myself in the hope it makes people feel a little less alone.”
