Jude The Obscure – 'Strong Enough'
Manchester-based musician Jude The Obscure makes his debut with powerful single ‘Strong Enough’.
Combining elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and Soul, Jude The Obscure creates his own brand of sound. ‘Strong Enough’ is a beautiful introduction to his eclectic world of music. Punchy beats and poignant rap verses give the track an air of (ride or die) determination that is immediately softened by the smooth groove of an impressive brass-section. A track about resilience in the face of adversity, ‘Strong Enough’ shines especially bright on the lyrical front with a strong, soaring chorus.
“I'm especially proud of this tune. I really feel the music captured the message I was trying to get across on this one,” Jude reveals. “The rhythm section maintains this aggressive, punchy feel throughout, giving the perfect underlay for an energised, driven vocal. At the same time, it still has this uplifting, almost euphoric feel to it when the chorus hits. It was a hard balance to find, but I feel it really came together in the end.”
