Kynsy – 'Cold Blue Light'

Dublin-based multi-instrumentalist Ciara Lindsey embarks on a new journey with solo project Kynsy. Debut single ‘Cold Blue Light’ promises a bright future.

Kynsy combines picture perfect pop melodies and the dark charm of defiant guitars with remarkable ease. Sticky hooks and punchy beats create a captivating world of sound while Ciara’s moody vocals keep the track rooted in the present. “Cold Blue Light is about the bullies we all encounter in life and looking for meaning in the darkness they create,” she explains, “I wanted to write a song that held some sort of balance between destruction and hope. It's based on an encounter I had at a new year’s eve party where there was a guy spouting racist remarks at people and it was quite upsetting and stuck with me.”

A modern take on future pop, ‘Cold Blue Light’ is a statement of intent. A “hello world, here I am” introduction to Kynsy’s colourful universe.
