Molly Payton – 'Warm Body'
Following the success of debut EP ‘Mess’, emerging singer songwriter Molly Payton announces follow up EP ‘Porcupine’ alongside dynamic new single ‘Warm Body’.
‘Porcupine’ “relates to keeping people at arm's length for fear of getting hurt,” Molly explains and hypnotic opener ‘Warm Body’ fits that theme like a glove. To guitar-driven 90s slacker vibes, it talks about superficial relationships, “looking for comfort in people when you’re lonely and letting yourself make mistakes.” Diving deep into the human psyche, Molly’s raw vocals capture the emotion and vulnerable essence of her confessional lyricism – “He’s got a problem so he’s just my type. I’m so in love with always having someone on my mind.”
Where ‘Mess’ was pensive and soft, ‘Porcupine’ promises to be bigger, better and bolder. A stunning second offering that sees Molly Payton further explore and solidify her cutting-edge sound.
