Bad Idea - 'Happy'

Rowdy four-piece Bad Idea share dreamy shoegaze ballad ‘Happy’.

Wrapped into an ambient lo-fi soundscape, ‘Happy’ describes “the surprise appearance of positive thoughts after a depressive slump.“ At first cautious, hazy guitars turn into a confident chorus while gentle vocals skate on smooth melody lines and allow youto get lost in the moment. But the peace doesn’t last; ‘Happy’’s final quarter feels a lot like holding on for dear life as sharp guitars spiral into chaos.

Following fuzzy pop anthem ‘Winter’, ‘Happy’ sees Bad Idea return to their atmospheric lo-fi roots. It’s a wonderful track for slow mornings when you’re not quite ready to face the day and want to bask in that lazy, dreamy feeling for a little while longer.
