An utterly relatable track. The up-and-coming alt-pop sensation Michael Aldag really knows how to forge a fresh, memorable sound. Smooth and relaxed vocals alongside skilful lyricism make ‘Trust Funds’ a witty critique on the middle class that is an addictive listen.

This is by far the scouser’s most pop-leaning track to date and the unforgettable opening riff proves the universal potential of this single. Aldag commented: “’Trust Funds’ is a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the middle class, or at least what I have experienced of it. I think a certain level of financial-security can create a level of entitlement, so I wanted to ridicule that.” Michael’s humble upbringing and personality is undeniably apparent in this creative single.

‘Trust Funds’ is one track of several in Aldag’s upcoming project. With his recent smashes ‘Conversation’, ‘Arrogance’ and ‘Divorce’, this bedroom-pop sensation is giving us plenty to look forward to.
