"There's so much injustice in the world and I feel powerless towards that as well as things in my own life," Emilie explains. "There's a sense of frustration that there's something outside of ourselves that makes us feel small and insignificant. Playing with us, robbing us of our autonomy, making us feel out of control and helpless. I am proud of the lyrics and melody but what I love the most is that you can remove both and still feel the energy. It permeates everything - even the production."
